We’ve photographed weddings where the couple grew up together. Ones where they met on match.com and Instagram. And even ones that met on Spotify and Tinder. Deena and Alex are, to the best of my knowledge, our first and only couple to meet in a cab. And we’re not talking Uber Pool, we’re talking about a 2011 old fashioned taxi.

Deena and Alex were both out with friends in River North, and at the end of the night they ended up going after the same cab to get home. There was a bit of back and forth as to who was the rightful owner of this cab ride, but they soon realized they were headed in the same direction and decided to share the ride. At the end of the cab ride Alex scored Deena’s number, and they went on an official first date not long after. As the say, the rest is history! You’ll see a few yellow cabs throughout this wedding day, as well as an emotional first look, and some high energy Ukrainian dancing. Throw in some super cute wedding kids and sweet and funny vows, and I’d say you pretty much have a perfect day.

We can’t thank these two enough for having us document their wedding. We laughed and cried. And we took lots of photos. Deena and Alex, we hope you love reliving this fabulous day!
