Christine & Joe got married on April 23rd, which from here on we will think of as the unofficial first day of spring. The pink and white blossoms were exploding, and the crisp spring air and sun gave us our first deep blue sky. We couldn’t have been more fortunate than to have spent this day at the stunning Morton Arboretum, a true gem situated just west of Chicago. Outfitted with rolling hills, forested parks, trails, and a beautiful visitors center, Morton Arboretum easily makes my list of top ten outdoor venues in the area. We are still in awe of the surroundings we got to work in for this wedding! Christine & Joe had a sweet and emotional first look in a tucked away corner of the park, with just the right amount of sunshine and spring foliage. They then traveled to their home church in Elk Grove Village for a ceremony in front of family and friends. (And truly the most adorable flower girls, ever!) At the reception, guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner in front of the Arboretum Center’s floor to ceiling windows, overlooking a picturesque lake. Some serious dancing ensued after the meal, and it was awesome to see this group bring down the house.
