Surprise Wedding at The Loyalist | Mark & Dustin

Mark and Dustin pulled off a surprise wedding in front of family and friends two days after Christmas in the heart of Chicago. I first met them as guests at a wedding I photographed in 2017, and was honored when Mark reached out to me for this incredibly special occasion. On the phone Mark told me they were feeling scared about the upcoming Trump presidency, and that they felt it was time for their longterm love story to become a marriage under the eyes of the law. They had thought of me first and reached out the same day they began putting together plans for their surprise celebration. Their story moved me on many levels and it was my pleasure to document these two beautiful people in love.
